Description:

ND AGGREGATE™ is available in four colors. White and Brown versions are made of a special grade of aluminum oxide. Green and Black versions are made of silicon carbide. These materials are extremely hard and durable under heavy foot traffic and under the heavy weight of tires and should not be crushed by such weight even after many years!

ND AGGREGATE™ is lightly broadcast onto freshly applied SKID SAFE Water Based Sealer/Finish when it s still wet. White version is the most popular, because it is barely visible. Or invisible on all light colored floors, when observing from standing or sitting position. Its appearance changes to clear when properly top sealed with an additional 5 coats of our SKID SAFE Water Based Sealer/Finish. Brown version is recommended for dark brown floors, green version for green floors and black version for black floors.

Coverage: 1 lb. will cover about 160 sq ft. The actual use will vary, depending on the density of the aggregate broadcasting.

Make Your Floor Non Slip Both Wet and Dry!

SKID SAFE with ND AGGREGATE™ can be installed on any flooring material that is in a sound condition. ND AGGREGATE™ is usually virtually unnoticeable when standing and looking at any completed application. It is pleasant to walk on in bare feet, and is used to protect swimming pool/sauna/shower areas. Now, instead of sliding into second base on a wet marble/terrazzo lobby floor. Your shoe will grip on our special application firmly when wet. Test it at no risk and prove it to yourself! Warranted for 5 Years.

We highly recommend that you practise to properly apply the aggregate on to our SKID SAFE by test applying it to any loose tiles, plastic sheet, or a small floor area before proceeding with the entire job. Apply the first coat of SKID SAFE to a small area of the floor (using a new, pre-washed mop, or a sponge roller) so that it is easy for you to stand over it and broadcast ND AGGREGATE™. While SKID SAFE is still wet hold a small amount of the aggregate in your hand and throw it straight up slightly. The aggregate will fall evenly over this wet SKID SAFE area.

Coat of SKID SAFE:

You can also use a sieve to evenly spread the aggregate. Then, apply another small area of SKID SAFE and repeat the above process until the entire floor area has been sealed with a first coat of SKID SAFE with the broadcast of our ND AGGREGATE™. Use a fan or a blower to help blow dry each coat of SKID SAFE. Open windows for ventilation. Apply in low to moderate humidity. Each coat should dry in about 30 – 60 minutes. High humidity, low temperature, no air circulation will greatly increase the drying and curing times.

When the first coat is absolutely dry use a paint roller (sponge, or short nap) or a low pressure sprayer (about 35-65PSI) to apply coats 2-6 so as not to disturb the aggregate which a sponge mop will. Each successive coat must be absolutely dry to the touch before applying the next coat.

After the entire 6 coat of SKID SAFE is completed, 96 hours more time is needed to allow our finish to CURE (GET VERY HARD). If you cannot close the floor to foot traffic for the next 96 hours, cover the floor with a cardboard masked down to enable foot traffic after 8 hours of drying time. Remove the cardboard after 4 DAYS. Use normally. Do not cover the floor with any plastics, or rubber during the cure time.

Maintenance

Clean this floor ONLY with a NEUTRAL CLEANER (pH of 7)! Other cleaners can dull, and or damage SKID SAFE. You may clean the floor with a soft nylon brush, light scrubbing machine and NEUTRAL CLEANER, or with a powerwasher. Do not use disinfectants known to harm plastics/floor finishes. Do not use cotton, or sponge mops. When over time you observe a loss of gloss on certain areas apply a light coat of SKID SAFE over them.
